EDpuzzle ~

I was playing around with EDpuzzle today and thought it would be a great tool in a classroom with a class set of computers, for students with internet access at home, or for a station activity. EDpuzzle allows teachers to import a video from a number of sources, edit the video so only select parts are shown, add an intro with directions, record over the audio of the video, and pause the video and insert questions for viewers to answer. As a teacher, I can assign a video to my class (Google logins needed) and then get the results of how the students do on the questions asked. For example, here is the video I created today:

If the video is not appearing, click here (there is a short delay once you hit play): https://edpuzzle.com/media/54db8e77d144ea046826b2a8

The yellow speaker is where I inserted an introduction for my students. The green ? are questions I wanted my students to answer. Questions can be T/F, multiple choice, or open ended.

Once my video was assigned to a class, this is the feedback I received as the teacher:

This website is 100% free and I tested a video on a computer a student was logged in on and the YouTube video could be seen! Plus, plus! You can also upload your own video or have your students create a video project as well.   Here is a summary of the site from its producers!

Please let me know if you use this in your classroom. ~Kate
